Do as stated by Tony. Drop the bottom end. If the motor turns freely, the issue is in the gearcase. You can now focus on that.
Post #4 doesn’t make sense. If you can turn the flywheel easily, with plugs out…squirt some fogging oil into each chamber, (lay the motor so the piston face is horizontal), then spin it to distribute oil. This will lube piston & rings, but tolube the crankshaft you need oil introduced via the carburetor,(intake).
Back to post #4 - if the motor turns freely with plugs out, but binds with them in…did you change plugs? Maybe pistons are hitting a long reach plug. If it became “sticky” after running fine, then stopping…perhaps it overheated & partially seized, hence the ask if you’d changed the impeller.
On a “new to me motor”, I monitor temps very closely on bucket startup, & never put it on my boat without a new impeller. Impellers are cheap + a beef & bit of time. Seized motors are not.
