2000 Johnson 150 Shutting Off

Im reposting this again still looking for any help at all! My 2000 Johnson 150 outboard (J150PLSIG) runs perfectly at wide open throttle until I make run about 8-10 min then it will shut off completely. Dosent sputter it just cuts off as if you have cut the key off. It will not crank back unless I hold the key over into the start position. As long as I hold the key in the start position it will run but if I let go of it and let the switch go into the on position it will cut right back off. First time this happened I started trolling back to the boat ramp and about 15-20 min later I tried to start again and it ran perfectly fine and I couldn’t make it shut down any more. Next trip out I did the same thing. Called a local boat mechanic while I was in the water and he suggested that I unplug the harness going to the power pack and it fired right up I just couldn’t cut it off. I plugged the pack back in and it continued to run and I was able to cut it off with the key. Now I’m having a hard time narrowing down where the issue is. Is it the power pack itself (probably only 3 years old) or is in the switch/kill switch which I have also replaced recently. Or is it something totally different. PLEASE HELP! Sorry for the long post just wanted to give all the info I could.

Check the stator.----Check kill switch and it's wires from control to motor.----Check ignition switch.

I am having a very similar issue. I have checked neutral and kill switches as best I could with a meter. Original issue was no spark. Based on recommendation from threads I replaced the stator. Cleaned the flywheel magnets, (one was partly fractured), made sure there were no corroded connections. Originally motor would start and run intermittently. Has not been dependable since purchase a year ago. I still have no spark.
After replacing the stator, engine will not even act like it wants to start. Motor RPM's while cranking: 700, needle steady. I know the neutral switch on the control works, motor will not turn over with engine in gear. I had the same thing happen when running at full speed, motor died like turning the key off. Brought boat home, after a couple of days it cranked and ran. All through the winter, I would start the motor every two weeks, run for about fifteen minutes. It has always been a bear to get started but once warmed up, would start with less than 20 seconds of turning over. Non-ethanol since purchase, auto oiler disconnected, stabil marine always used, 1999 Johnson fast strike 150hp #XP1XMO158210, S # NC00009561. I don't know what to check next. How do I check the key switch, I have a new one here I can use to replace old one if needed.
