2001 BF90A-Running rough at low RPM

I have another neighbour with a rough running Honda, I’m going to check plugs, change the fuel filter, and add a good dose of Sea Foam to the fuel.

I believe a valve adjustment could be part of the problem?

What are the valve settings on this outboard?

Frame number is BBBL-4400848, I’m finding it is .08-.012 on intake and .014-.018 exhaust in inches?

Should be 008 inlet, 012 exhaust

Did you cure it? What was wrong?

The valves were fine, it’s running fine now after the plugs and fuel filter. The fuel filter was crappy with dirt. I also added an inline clear filter to the fuel line just before it enters the engine.
