2002 Yamaha 115 2-stroke problems

I have a 2002 yamaha 115 2-stroke that has been giving me some problems for the past year. Motor runs good until it doesn’t and happens at least once every time I take it out. I’ll be running anywhere from 3/4 full speed to full speed when the motor start to rev up and down slowing me down and then it quits and can run full power again. Any ideas?

I'd be looking at the fuel system. Filters, proper venting. Try running on a different tank with a different fuel line. Check compression and spark.
