Bought this motor used early this year and having issues. At first it wouldn't go above 2.5 RPMS, aka guardian mode. That was a bad gear indicator switch that I have replaced. Also found a hard plastic 'purge' hose which I have patched as well. New fuel filters and plugs but can't turn any more than about 3800 in the water. Runs easy up to almost 6000 on the muffs and in gear. This motor is mounted exactly the same height and using the same 24 pitch laser II prop as my old 125 Elpto motor. Any thoughts on this would greatly be appreciated, this is my first ECM outboard to work on.
