My 2007 4S 30hp mercury is intermittently going to a high idle at start up and staying there. I turn it off then cycle the tiller throttle fully thru reverse and forward, back to neutral restart and 50/50 it will idle normally and then run fine. I called Mercury CS and he suggested it could be a warped throttle body, which these yr and make have had happen. It kinda makes sense because when moving the throttle thru it full range of motion it may seat the plate in the throttle body correctly. Could it be the IAC valve? I can replace a IAC valve but a throttle body replacement may be more than I want to get into. Any suggestions or thoughts....thank you Sean
