2009 f250 outboard fault code 116. Limp mode

I have been having a problem with my 2009 f250. The engine seems to put out more exhaust than the port engine, shifts with a clunk, and won’t go above 1400 rpm’s. I have run diagnostics on it, I get fault code 116 from the digital gages and none of my fixes have worked. To date I have: swapped throttle body, ecm, wiring harness. The issue first started after the install of a new DEC control box. Any ideas out there?

I mean does the new control box have the exact same part number as the old box that it replaced?

You said your troubles started when a new control box was installed. If not the same part number there can be differences that make them not the same form, fit and function.

Did you found out what was wrong? I have 2022 f150 and i have the same fault code.

Different problems can sause the same fault code. One man's solution to a problem might not be the next man's solution.
