2022 F90

I have a 2022 F90 with about 60 hours on it. I just pulled it for winter storage and was about to fog the engine. When I pulled the wires, #2 and #3 wires completely collapsed and fell apart at the plug.

I stopped at the local Yamaha dealer and apparently one just can't buy wires - you have to buy the coil assembly.

This seems insane.

Does anyone have a solution or know of an aftermarket wire set that can work?

Thanks folks!

I would say yes as there is a conventional boot onto the coil - but there is a conventional boot onto the plug as well. Which is why I think there should be a separate wire set. I would imagine that of the coils came with integral wires, then there would be no boot at the coil - just a sealed wire coming out of the Bakelite housing

Have you physically separated the lead from the coil?

Try it and see. You have nothing to lose.

There are no spare replacement wires from Yamaha. It might be possible to buy a non Yamaha wire from an auto parts store that will work.
