"would like to know about this

"would like to know about this motor.can anybody give me applasal or what they know.All I know about the motor is it is a 225 hp volvo 4.3 gxi.year is 2003 and it is salt water cooled.antbody tell me how reliable they are because I am thinking of buying it Its done 50 hrs.ii it worth $10000.00 (Australia $)comes with a duo prop,and how realable.

"Stan, that engine is a V6 Chevy, so mechanically it should be OK. However, I have no idea about the electronics and fuel injection sides' performance.

So now that you got your AQ145A under control are you planning to re-power and getting a different outdrive?"

"No the AQ145a Is running pretty good at moment.just changed the strainer housing that sits on the thermostat with one I got on ebay.But everything is running good.May look at changing to electronic ingnition at later date but the points system seems quite good to me at the moment.Only that a little warming up is required but can deal with that.Just experimenting with different prop at the moment.have at moment 15X17 and am going to put on 14X19 to see if I can get the speeds that others claim to get (around 31-34mph).The 4.3 chevy is for my son in law .come complete with all guages controls and everything,but I dont know anything about these and I said I would post of the foreum and get reactions.

"A further question on this 4.3 gxi motor and duo pro leg.Does anybody know??At resent the boat is fitted with a 265 chrysler hemi motoe with a chrysler 300 outdrive.What is the difference if we fit the 4.3 volvo gxi motor and duoprop leg to the boat.will we have to rebuild the transom or will we have to enlarge the whole to take the duo pro leg.If we have to make the whole a little larger to accomidate the transom fot the duo pro, thats ok.But does anybody know if this is the case or will the transom require work.Hoping someone knows this.Thanks
