2001 50HP Merc outboard – starts fine initially, but really battles to start after stopping once I get the my fishing spots. I am pretty sure that it is float level problems.
Can you please help with the spec’s to set the float levels?
Carb type:WME-2XK, top and bottom carbs and WME-1XK – center carb.

The float levels are just fine

The float levels are just fine.....I'm not sure where to go now. This motor is 7 years old but only done about 80 hours. It has always battled to start once it is warm. Lots of smoke etc once it eventually takes - almost like it is choked - could maybe not getting enought air.
I would appreciate any ideas.
