64 Johnson 3 Hp driveshaft issue

I inadvertently pulled the driveshaft out while replacing the impeller and need to know the trick for getting it to drop back “in”

Turn gearcase upside down.----Push up on / turn the shaft and it will go back in.----Simple as that.
