Well this one was on me. Saw a rock coming up quick. Killed the engine. Pushed down on the tiller handle, and snap! Made it through the rest of the weekend, caught some fish and ate well. I managed to patch it up pretty well having access to a TIG welder. Lesson learned, kill engine then grab rear hood handle, not tiller handle..........
