Hello all. Just a quick check in to say that the 78' Evinrude 35HP powerhead that I built is running very well. It idles very low and smooth and at wide open throttle in calm water with just me in the boat I am running 31mph. Half throttle cruise is a comfortable 21mph. No oil leaks and the motor seems to be cooling well. I am having a problem with the tiller arm linkage getting loose and sloppy. I need to disassemble and put thread locker on the handle screws. Other than that it's like having a brand new motor! Thanks again for the help and thank you MarineEngine.com for most of the parts!
