79 johnson 9.9. I started this outbard that was sitting for some time with ears for the hose. The outboard was running fine but i noticed water coming out of a hole near lower unit and after the engine was shut off water kept draining for a couple of minutes as if the middle section filled with water between the lower unit and the powerhead. Maybe a couple of gallons drained.
Is there a hose or connector that is failing somewhere between the water pump and powerhead that could fill up the middle unit or section with water?
