87 40hp mariner oil resouvior

I just bought a 87 40hp oil injection unit but I can't find the oil resouvior in or on around the motor. Runs great on old gas, but I don't want to take a chance with filing tank with gas only without checking oil in motor if there is any. Any Help would be greatly appreciated

I would trace down the gas lines and look for it. On my 86 mariner 90 hp, the oil mixer was a seprate unit and in the boat. Alot of people just run pre mix gas so you dont have to worry if the oiler is working or not.

For what it's worth.... I'm running a 1988, Oil Injected, 40 Hp Mariner that I bought last year. The system had an external oil tank between the fuel tank and the engine. After reading many posts here and a few people helping me out - I decided to remove/bypass the oil injection system and pre-mix the gas at 50:1. I've had zero problems with the system last season and this season. Hope this helps you.
