Greetings all,

93 model j200STLETF SER # g03504324

I am rebuilding my carbs after motor has been sitting. high speed needle is pretty gummed up... so I'm doing a complete tear down and clean.

Here is my question

Boat ran well when I last ran it but the idle was a little rough (a boat shop rebuilt the carbs last)

Anyway each carb (6 of them) is 2-3/4 to 3-1/4 turn out... should I put them back to that OR is there and intial setting I should start with?

after initial I'll need to know the best way to tweek them?

Thanx in advance,

start at 5 1/2 out... thank you

By the way this is an "f" carb that has 2 jets in the front not 1 ... adjustment is by flathead not a torqs

I was reading further and someone stated that for the 2 jet carb the initial set is 2 1/2 turns and 5 1/2 for the 1 jet... is that correct

once up up and running.... question

start at the middle carb turn in til motor stumbles and then back out til smooth???? then onto the next carb?

Thanx in advance

Sorry for the confusion there is 2 fixed jets and then above them is the air mixture screw... it's a flat head screw just above the 2 fixed jets

Them carbs where only used 2 years and that a intermediate fine tune adjust screw not a idle, It set at 2-3/4 turn out from light seat. You can thank Roger Belvins in OMC tech and engineering for these nightmares....
