A question of timing...

When I was doing my timing and link/sync I noticed something I want to ask about.

I noticed my timer base hits its full advance stop pretty early in the throttle movement.
Is there a mark on the throttle cam that shows were full timing advance should be?
Right now my full timing advance is just after the start mark and before the knee on
the throttle cam.

I have no confidence that this wasn't totally messed with before I got the engine.

Engine E115TLCIM

Full advance does happen somewhat before full throttle, that's the way it is supposed to be. You need to follow the link & sync instructions for your particular motor (service manual)

Thank you for your answer. I am familiar with setting the timing and the link and sync process. That wasn't really the question.
The relationship between the timer base and throttle cam is adjustable. I wanted to double check that some previous mischievous hands
had not adjusted this relationship for some unfathomable reason. I know that the timing advances faster than the throttle (that's why
it is spring loaded). I just thought it is advancing a little too fast.

If you understand the link & sync, you know the answer. It goes to full advance, THEN kicks the carbs open. That is the link & sync
