Hey guys, 2000 200hp Johnson j200vxsss. Today I did the unthinkable and connected one of two batteries reverse polarity. The 1st clue was the tilt trim worked opposite, up was down and down was up when batt switch was on pos #1, When I switched from batt #1to #2 via perko switch , it hit both batts first which at that nano second melted the neg terminal on batt one. My concern is not the batteries it’s weather or not I fried the electronics in the engine ie rectifier,stator,trigger,power pack. I went thru my spring routine and started the engine, it started right up, I got 14.6v on battery while it was running and 13.6 when not running that’s all I have done so far. Where do I go from here
