I checked the oil on my Mercury 115 horse 2021 model. Slightly titled motor to pull the cover off. Then I put it back vertical. Checked the oil. Oil was fine. I then replaced cover. I thought that I had put the dipstick back in all the way. Not sure that I didn’t. But started motor ran fine. I got it up to about 5500 rpm and the beeping system went off. Killed it and checked the dipstick. It was about 1/4 of the way out of the holder. Then I pushed it all the way down. I started it back up and ran it to the same rpm alarm went off again. I checked dipstick it was fine. What causes it to do this?
