I have an ist 250. My binnacle is struggling to find neutral and can’t start engine. I’ve don’t everything in regards to checking battery voltage, terminal cleanliness, starter, starter solenoid, fuses, etc. I even disconnected kill switch. I can figure out why the ist binnacle can’t find neutral and turn over. No matter what position it’s in and I move back to midpoint neutral light does not light up and allow me to start engine. Even tried swapping out ist cable that runs from motor to binnacle.

Hi,
I know absolutely nothing about this but since no one has answered you, I at least wanted to say welcome and offer some moral support.

Not knowing this system, I can only guess that it sounds to me that possibly a sensor inside the binnacle is either out of place or has failed. Does it look as if you can get the cover off and take a peek inside?

Sorry I can't be of any help with this.

Have you checked the neutral position switch on the motor?
its a real bastard to get to on the honda though. almost behind the fuse block from memory
