Compression question. 1983 235

Where in Ontario ?-------The primer solenoid would be an easy fix if it was the wee cover that is cracked.

im located in london ..my boat is in port bruce where are you located ? .....cant remember the primer solenoid to well .i think its just the caseing ..P.S you guys are great help thanks again..
 
About 2 hrs north of London.----Your txcor would be an 85 model.----Those came with a single VRO pump.-----Since a new VRO today is around $1000 at your dealer , the previous owner opted for an electric pump.-----Mixing gas / oil at 50:1 on it.

ahh ok now i understand ........he was having trouble with the vro so he diconected it and threw it out than installed a canister type electric fuel pump .(.intersesting )vary (interesting) iknow thease pumps should be running between 2 and 6 lbs maybe its failing and thats why the engine in starving for fuel at wot ....makes perfect sence what do you suggest ? new electric pump ,,, find a used vro pump or just leave it as it is ...??
 
Sorry---I can not make up your mind.----I suggest a pair of pumps as installed on 1983 and earlier V-6 motors.------Myself I have run a pair of 1982 model 235 HP motors.----These use the simple pressure operated fuel pumps in series.----Never a problem with those pumps.
