Writing from Greece so please excuse my English.
Does anybody know the correct cylinder pressure (compression) in psi that i should read measuring my volvo penta 4.3 v6 model 1990?
Values like 160 psi the lowest and 180 psi the higher should worry me?
Thank you all.

"With a 10% acceptable difference, You are on the limit. Did You do the test with full throttle opening?

If 2 cyl next to each other are 'low' it might indicate a leaking gasket between them. Spark plug colors and conditions might tell a bit more if You post a pic."

I have to say that the engine is off the boat since last week and the compression test was carried out with the engine cold. I also have to say that the engine started three or four times the last month and each time only for a few seconds (10-15) because the engine cannot be cooled properly as I have disconnected the salt water supply and the exhaust manifolds.

Thanks in advance...

"A bit oily, nut not too bad. guess no big danger around.
Do NOT run engine without water in the block, You will 'hammer' loose a lot of rust in the cooling system!!!!"
