Evinrude 18 Fastwin question

Hello,
After i get motor started in tank it runs for a bit then literally clunks out ??
What would cause that ?

Model # is ?-----Pressure tank?----Regular tank with fuel pump?

C’mon, Fitter. That’s like going to the doctor & saying, “I don’t feel well”…& expecting him to offer you a cure.
It should be a requirement before being allowed to post.

What trouble shooting have you done
Compression numbers
Does a spark jump a 3/8” gap, with a clean blue spark.
With a legacy motor with pressure tank…has it been changed? Have you checked the old two hose for leaks in the system.
There is a plethora of very knowledgeable people here…help them to solve your problem.

New coils wires plugs last year
Yes fuel tank is a press. Tank
New hoses
Even though Tank is used float bowl never went dry.
Im no expert on outboards just started getting into them 2 years ago.
Motor starts runs a bit in tank then makes a clunk sound & dies.
I tried posting pics but am unable to make them small enough?

They need to be < 1Mb. I think you also need 6 posts before pics are allowed. Just post 4 more with the word “test”, then post pics.

Sounds like " classic " lean sneeze.----Open low speed mixture screw.----Make sure throttle plate is closed at idle.----And not opening too soon.
