"Hi I am a new member to the forum. Name is Nathan and I live in Sarasota, Fl. This seemed like the best forum I found to get info and help. I have a 1993 Evenrude outboard. When I was out last weekend it was running fine then it seems like it was starving for fuel. It idoled poorly and when I tried to give it gas it would stall; then I would have a tuff time getting it to start again. I found when I had it started and I pulled the choke in and out it would idol better and eventually it started working perfect. Every once in awhile when I was running it would stall and give me the same issues again.
Things I did to correct
1. Changed Spark plugs
2. Dumped old gas and oil
3. Ran fresh gas and oil with Carb cleaner in the fuel
4. Changed fuel line and ball
I have not had the boat out since. I have ran it at the house with the hose and it seems to idol fine. Just curious as to what may have caused this and what to do if happens again.
