Exhaust Manifold + Exhaust Elbow

Good day, captains!
Does it make sense to use original Volvo Penta parts for the exhaust manifold and exhaust elbow, or is there a good aftermarket option that would fit? The boat is used in salt water.

By the way, based on the photo, do I need to replace them immediately, or can this be done next season?

I would replace them before running that engine.

Barr used to make decent products but I haven't kept up with their offerings for VP...Stay away from the 'cheap ones'...their quality control is lacking and there is no 'savings' from using them...

Definitely replace those, the outlet on the one in the right side pic is completely plugged up. If you look at the one in the left side pic, the water exits in between the 2 nubs that are at the top of the inner circle....
Judging by that I bet the water passages in the manifolds are jammed with rust. Time for a whole new set. Remember bad inboard exhaust is a major cause of marine engine failure.

Yes, it seems they definitely need to be replaced. It appears that the STBD engine currently has the same issue, and the manifolds and risers need to be replaced as well.

PS
I installed a set of Barr manifolds & elbows some years back & they fit well and have lasted quite a while. I will probably replace at least the elbows if not the whole system after this season. When installing any marine exhaust with the wet joint style as these are, definitely use a straightedge and feeler gauges to check flatness. Should be less than .003” variation. You are trying to prevent water leaks into the center exhaust passage.
I have found that 5-7 years in salt water is about how long they last. The elbow will usually deteriorate much faster than the manifolds.
