F70 - Do this check? Exhaust guide/manifold inspection/replacement

My service manual says to inspect and replace if necessary the exhaust guide/manifold every 1,000 hours. I'm only at 500 hours but planning ahead.

While I do my own impellor changes regularly, along with all other annual maintenance, it seems like doing this check requires removal of the power head.

This might be beyond my capabilities. Or if not, might take me so damn long I miss half a season. Am I right? Or is it easier than it sounds?

Does everyone do this check? How critical is it? Is it something that could be skipped if there's no sign of trouble? Do a Rydlyme flushing instead?

Thoughts?

bonus question: Timing belt also says to replace at 1,000 hours. How hard is that?
