Fuel Leaking out of engine cowling

Sorry hard to describe in the title whats happening, but wanted to find out if this is normal. The other day I ran the engine for a while out of the water (ear muffs on) and was checking the trim/tilt after a rebuild. I stopped the engine and after the the engine had been fully tiled and then moved back down to normal running position a bit of fuel came out the bottom of the cowling near the fuel hose connection. At first I thought it was from that but so soon discovered it was from the carbs. Is this a normal? I was concern that its also where the battery / starter solenoid is located so concern of a fire, but also wondering if the float level is too high. I read in another post that this could be expected

The engine seems to run well with the carbs as they are.

The carbs will leak out the front when you tip the motor up. What motor do you have sometimes there is an airbox on the motor that will catch that
