Gas not sending

I have a 2011 Larsen 16' lowrider. My engine is a 2011 70 HP Yamaha.

The engine has been sputtering so after some troubleshooting I disconnect the fuel line from the boat, put it in an external gas tank and the engine ran fine.

How do I begin to troubleshoot why the gas is not making it from the internal tank to the engine? As a possible hint (maybe) I emptied the external fuel filter to look for water (there as none) but the gas was an amber brown, not the clear yellow hue of the new gas.

Thanks for any suggestions.
 
Could be gas has gone bad...how old is the gas in the builtin tan?

Vent may be clogged as well...

Was the boat winterized properly? Did it run ok up to this point in time?

I did winterize the boat with stabilizers. And I topped off the tank last fall before I winterized it, so yes, the gas is old. I am going to siphon out the gas, add new gas and see if that helps.

I have having a hard time finding a gas line schmatic of this boat so I am not sure where the vent is. The bulb on the fuel line was not filling, so I agree it would also be a venting problem.
