Glass bowl fuel filter question.

1964 Evinrude 9.5hp. Restoration project. 68lbs.psi both cylinders. No scorching of paint on head so I feel it has never overheated.
The fuel bowl has been removed and not present but original fuel lines are lying in place. Can I for go the fuel bowl altogether without comprising performance? I would prefer not to deal with it. I am not concerned about fuel issues as I filter the fuel tank line after the primer bulb. I am going over this motor to to bottom to bring it back to life. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the issue.

Ignore above post re the head gasket.---Does this motor have the antivibration kit installed ?----Springy bracket off the carburetor.---And one off exhaust manifold.

There were issues with these motors ( 1964 / 65 ) shaking too much at idle.----I installed quite a few of the anti-vibration kits many years ago.

As always, Thanks racer for your input. I will look in to damper kit as part of my project. As for the fuel bowl, would I be ok with eliminating it altogether?

It is a wee water separation / filter bowl.-----A nice feature to have.-----Not really needed if you take care of your fuel supply.----Not hard to find a replacement bowl I think.
