Please help me identify the year and confirm this Honda 8HP 4 Stroke engine from the following information: Serial Number:BACE or (L) 1004642. Thanks!

Thank you Mike (hondadude) for your response. Can you tell me what the (H) refers to in this model number BF8AH. Also, there is no listing of an owners manual on the Honda site for the BACE models. Closest is the BACL. Can you advise if the BACE is, indeed, a correct part number.
 
Found the information for the (H) designator after searching this terrific site for information. I assume that the (CE) designator refers to the year of the engine?
