I have a 1986 Johnson 225 V6 outboard that's been coughing at idle and i was thinking it's running lean so I was maybe going to change the idle orifice down but now I'm confused because I was thinking the screws got swapped on all the carbs during the last rebuild. Right now it has a #14 and #44 screws. #14 on the top and #44 on bottom. The parts diagram here has the bottom screw listed as the idle and on boats.net they have it as the top. A Google AI search says it's top. Anybody know for sure?
