Johnson 115 and 85 lower unit interchangeable?

I have a 1973 Johnson 115 and I need to swap the lower unit on it as I hit a rock with it. Will a 1977 85hp lower unit bolt right up to my 1973 115 Johnson without any issues?

It appears it will fit. Go to boats.net, find your gear case and select it, scroll down to the bottom and you’ll find a list “Related Fitment” 1977 85hp shows up on the list.

I found the website and the gearcase but when I scroll down all I see is part number for within the gearcase and no related fitment section
