Johnson 25hp 1986 Jet conversion

Is it possible or practical to convert a Johnson 1986 25 hp motor to a jet?
also is there a problem with a 40-1 oil fuel ratio, I just picked this up its my first motorboat.

Why do you ask about 40:1 ratio for this motor ?-----Boat will be SLOWER with a jet drive on it.

I ask because that's the ratio that the people who sold me the motor used and told me to use. They said I'll have to clean my carbs more, but it will make the motor last longer.

No-----You will not need to clean the carburetor more often!----Yes ,---the motor will last longer.----Run carburetor empty when storing the motor.
