Recently purchased a Mariner 4

Recently purchased a Mariner 40HP Magnum s/n 0G251520 and have no manuals/books. It is a 4 cylinder and is oil injected. Where can I go to find out what year this is and where I can get manuals.

"Joel, that's a 1995 Mercury built Mariner - very nice motor.

The Mercury service manual for that motor is (merc part number) 90-814676R1 (or possibly updated now). Available from any Merc dealer - a bit pricey, but excellent if you are already quite familiar with working on outboards - they are written for Merc techs and assume that you already know a significant amount about maintenance.

If you want an "owners manual" (how to start, what type of gas to use etc) drop by a Merc dealer and they can order you one.

If you are looking more for a step by step general maintenance manual (which includes everything from yearly maint, up to and including a total rebuild), Seloc's manuals are excellent.

Seloc's number 1416 covers all mercs/mariners from 1990-2000, available in an on-line format or printed for about 35 bucks. It does however cover all the models, so sometimes the pictures are not specific to your exact motor...."

Wtam wszystkich, niedawno kupiłem silnik Mariner 40 hp Magnum, stary model, ale podobno super silnik. Proszę o podpowiedź jaki numer katalogowy ma power trym, bo w tym silniku ktoś go wymontował.
