Mercruiser bravo steering

Is the steering arm for a Bravo 1 outdrives sealed or is it above the waterline?
The steering arm pivot pin is sealed and above the water line in most all cases, but there are a limited ones that are below the water line

If it's leaking than the seal and most likely the pivot pin will need to be replaced.

Thanks, I think that's where I'm getting the leak. The waterline on the hull is above the housing.

Have 3 ways to replace it, pull the motor, use the Mercruiser way or the JR Marine way

Most do the JR method because it's easier, I did the Mercruiser way which requires drilling a 1 inch hole on each side, then tapping the hole
