Newbie 275 outdrive exhaust bellows relacement question

"Can the exhaust bellows be replaced without removing or disconnecting the outdrive/drive bellows/U joint assembly? How long should it take? Is it any harder than replacing the drive bellows(I did that last fall)?
After finally getting my engine to start and run this week, it is now blowing bubbles and
water out the back of the transome, in front of the outdrive instead of through the outdrive and out the exhsudt below the proppeller.
My guess is that the exhaust bellows broke or got pulled off at one end.
As allways, any and all help would be greatly appreciated."

2) 10-15 minutes.

3) It is much easier than replacing the drive bellows, as you don't have to remove the outdrive or the upper gear assembly. Just make sure the drain hole in the bellows points downwards.

4) Maybe the exhaust bellows just popped out from the transom or from the outdrive, or just got split open. You will either have to put the boat on a trailer or take a dive with snorkel and goggles to find out."

Thanks El Pescador! Bellows was split. Thanks for the tip to find the drai hole and point it down. replacement was not difficult. It would have been easier with smaller hands.

"El Pescador, I think that you hit the nail on the head. I have noticed that the Exhaust hose CLAMP has slipped off the exhaust hose where it} connects to the pipe connecting to the transom. This has allowed water (but no exhaust)to pour betweeen the hose and that pipe,into the bilge when the engine is runnning. I hope that I tightened it well enough this time."
