I 1982 merc 70 hp magneto ignition have 12 volt main post on there but no fire on this small post and I have fire that goes over to the starter and turns over but no spark I've checked the stator and rectifier and trigger and they all seem to be within specifications and it was running but when I change the batteries I accidentally sparked it on the wrong post I didn't touch it long just real a little spark and it blew the fuse going from the solenoid to the starter i replace the fuse and now it won't start before it was starting fine.looked at neutral safety switch in control box and looked at wireing.nothing seemed to have got hot.turns over great just no spark.i replaced the starter and it was starting great.help would be appreciated
