No spark on mercury 150

I have a 2008 mercury 150 opitmax outboard, couple of weeks ago the motor started missing and running rough. Ran it for about an hour then it just died, would not start again. I pulled spark plugs they were wet and burned, I replaced them and still would not start. I checked for spark in plugs but there was none. My mechanic can’t get to it for about a month. Does someone have an idea on what is wrong or had this problem?

Have shop manual and it walked me thru diagnosing my bad stator; one component I could not test was the switch box - place where most wires terminate - center of picture.
