Hello Gents,
I am rebuilding an OMC Cobra and I am trying to replace the bearing from the "Forward Housing and Bearing Assembly". The parts diagram does not list the bearing by itself and it looks like OMC was intending the sell the bearing and the housing as a single unit. The writing on the bearing has four separate parts which read "TORRINGTON" "DD-52404" "C" and "DWW". Torrington was the manufacturer and I believe the part number was DD-52404.
After doing some research it looks like Torrington has been absorbed by Timken, and I haven't been able to find any replacement part numbers for this bearing.
Has anyone replaced this bearing? Is there a part number? I the complete housing/ bearing assembly is circled in the below diagram.
