One long beep

I have a 2015 Mercury 150 4 stroke. A few seconds after I start the engine, I hear a continuous beep for about 4 seconds and then it goes off until started again. The engine runs fine. Any ideas what this beep is for?

Probably for safety, let's people know there is a motor running in the vicinity

Some engines beep at the turn of the key to tell the operator that the warning system is functioning properly. I don't know the duration.
