Guy's I know this is been ongoing but I have a1986-87 125hp force outboard . I changed the rectifier last year and fixed the voltage problem . took it out first time this year and it buried the volt meter again, tested right on battery while full throttle over 16v idles about 14v. Can you use a regulator on this some say a universal regulator 090-5 if so could you tell me where and how to wire it and do you leave the rectifier on or does it replace it. Any help would be appreciated.
