I used this on my 1998 chevy pickup 350 engine.

I pulled the distributor, installed bracket and made sure it was lined up correctly, then JB welded the bracket in place.
Let it cure over night.
By doing this, it allows for cap replacement without having the bracket fall and makes it for quicker service.
