Pre-Alpha 228 sterndrive - U-joint bellows ?

Questions - When installing the u-joint bellows is it best to install it first on the Transom or the Bell Housing?

Also do you use Bellow adhesive on both ends and only on the outside of the housing or the inside of the bellows - or does it matter

Adhesive on both ends of bellows and on both surfaces where bellows will sit.

Attach on bell housing first as you may not be able to tighten hose clamp otherwise.

Once bellows is on bell housing you push bell housing and bellows and force transom side on flange. Once there tighten hose clamp which will be at the 2:00 position. Snug it up and look very closely at borh sides to make sure bellows is seated and hose clamp is in the right spot befor fully tightening.
