"I have a 1986 bayliner capri

"I have a 1986 bayliner capri cuddy 16ft with 1986 85hp force, I am using a 17 pitch prop and runs about 32 mph w/o. Do you think i will be ok if I switch to a 19 pitch prop can I increase mph trying to get close to 37 0r 39 mph. I have no tach but know enough about engines and over rev, I can always pull back a bit on throttle."
 
If you are not over-reving wit

If you are not over-reving with a 17 inch prop you certainly won't with a 19 inch pitch. A 19 inch pitch might drop your WOT RPM by 400. Using the 200 RPM per inch pitch rule. Going from 17 inch pitch to 19 inch pitch is like shifting to a higher gear in a stick shift car.
