Rebuilt 4.3 carburetor engine taking on water

I have a total rebuilt 4.3 taking water in all six cylinders.

Runs great with no water running through engine.

run water with engine not running all 6 cylinders fill with water.

first guess is the wrong gasket was used somewhere or wasn't installed properly...

who did the rebuild?

Usually would be thinking you are getting the water in from the exhaust into cylinders
