can someone explain the process of replacing the tilt trim assembly on 2016 Yamaha F200XCA I bought a new one from marine engines and the part that I’m not sure about is how to remove the lower pivot portion. The bolts and washers came out no problem, then what do you do? And can the old assembly be removed with the engine tilled all the way up? Or does the engine bracket need to be removed from the boat?

Is the tilt piston disconnected?

With the bolts removed from the low mounting pin have you tried to tap the pin to drive it out of the clamp brackets?

With the upper and lower attach points disconnected, the electrical wire disconnected and the bonding cable disconnected, you should be able to lift the trim and tilt assembly from the motor.

Yes I was able to tap the pin out after removing the 2 bolts and washers. The tilt trim assembly was able to be removed and the new one installed without any problems. Thanks
