Replacing trim motor

I was watching a video on how to replace the trim motor but the video did not show this part. Can someone explain to me what this is?

It senses the trim position of the engine (the angle) and would feed that trim position to an analog or digital gage to allow you to visually adjust the engine trim to optimze the boat ride quality or speed based on load or other factors.

The most difficult part of that whole job is getting the lower cross pin out usually stuck, sometimes needs heat and a brass drift and a sledge hammer to knock it out, rememder to drive out the headed cross pins before driving out the two big pins. Disconnect the wiring and your out. I've had good success with Arco trim motors, make sure you get the correct motor with either the 2 wire or 3 wire trim motor. Good luck.

I managed to get the pin out, but I cannot seem to get the bolt out. The video says to just tap it out, but this looks like a screw.
 
It's not a bolt, its a pin. Drive it out from the otherside. Did you remove the small headed cross pin that keeps the big pin in place? That pin usually comes out easier than the bottom one.
