Retro fitting tilt and trim 1982 70hp

Hi all,

Just browsing eBay came across a cheap tilt and trim assembly. Does anyone know if this would fit my 1982 evinrude 70. It does not have tilt and trim now. But handy with electronics will make a wiring harness for it with relays and be sure it’s fused.
The one below is from a newer 1994 vro.

That unit mounts with pins.-----The older units mounted with 6 bolts.----Three on each side.

Went out today and yeah see what you mean now, you don’t happen to know what year range would be compatible with mine?

Anything from about 1979 to 1990.----3 / 4 / 6 cylinder.-----The early ones used different wiring.----Therefor you need to insist on getting a COMPETE system.----Wining / solenoid / relays / switch included.----Also need the " pads " that trim cylinders push on.

Yeah you would think with its rich maritime heritage, but we have 2 boat / outboard places that i know of, both are very nice and welcoming but this is not what they do more buy and sell new and used ones and services for boats or boat parts / motor parts. we dont really have the infrastructure like you have in the US
