Should i run the fuel out after useempty or full carb

"You may store the engine on the steering handle side but NEVER on the shift handle side. The steering handle will really take a beating with no problem.... but the shift handle will break off rather easily.

Since you have but one carburetor, you may run the engine out of gas.

Engines that have more than one carburetor will have the top carburetor run dry (empty) first, but the engine will run on with the other carburetors resulting in having at least one aluminum piston running up and down a steel cylinder wall with improper lubrication. Not a good idea!"

"Never run a 2-stroke dry unless You spray it down with fogging oil at the same time. For this short storage time fuel will not go bad, but use TCW 3 oil that is more stable and not gel as easy if there is some humidity (water) in the fuel.
As for storage, the best is to store it hanging on an engine stand, alternate lying on the back. This way You eliminate risk of water entering from the exhaust ports into the cylinders.
All std rotation models have the exhaust on port side, so it may even be stored on that side.

I think you could run it down if you like. The engine will stop running a long time before lubrication becomes a problem. The crankcase is lubricated because the oil, being heavier than gasoline, tends to be left behind, so that there is always a lot of oil in the crankcase. It would be difficult to remove it all even if you wanted to.

I do have a couple of customers who did destroy their engines as, Joe points out, because of the multiple carb arrangement.

One thing you should be aware of. Even if you run it down, the carb will not be completely dry, so there is still the potential for fuel to break down and clog things. Fuel conditioner might help this a bit.
