Stern drive adapter set up

Hi, I’m keen to know if this set up would work since I can’t find the correct bell housing anywhere to link up to my sterndrive adapter. I was hoping to buy a fly wheel housing and then fit a Volvo penta stern drive adapter to connect to the transom shield. Any reason why this would not work?

Not fully understanding what you have and trying to do. How is your "sterndrive adapter" different?
